Thank you for your commitment to making this year’s ACPA Annual Convention a welcoming, inclusive, and transformative space for all participants.
As part of our ongoing equity and inclusion efforts, we want to share a few key resources and opportunities related to our Bias Incident Prevention and Response Protocol:
Updated Protocol
ACPA has recently updated our Bias Incident Prevention and Response Protocol to:
-
Provide clearer definitions of bias and harm,
-
Outline a transparent process for reporting and responding to incidents, and
-
Emphasize education, care, and restorative justice approaches.
We encourage all presenters to familiarize themselves with the protocol before the convention. https://myacpa.org/bias/
Presenter Training
All ACPA Conference Presenters can access a brief, practical training session on recognizing and preventing bias, responding to harm in real time with care and clarity, and understanding how the protocol supports both impacted and responsible parties.
Optional Slide for Your Presentation
You are welcome to include a Slide at the beginning or end of your session that informs attendees how to report a bias incident and where to find more information.
